The Choice of Faith Over Fear
Fear not for I am with you, do not be dismayed (distressed) for I am God. Isaiah 41:10
Did you know that the phrase “Fear not” is found in the Bible 365 times? It’s apparent that He doesn’t want us to go a day without hearing these words. In fact, “Fear not” is the most repeated phrase in the Bible. Why? Because He knows our tendency to be afraid. Fear is a tool from the enemy, but faith is God’s response. If we choose faith in our times of fear, trusting God that He indeed is working all things out for our good, then the worry and anxiety will be lifted and replaced with peace.
If you are in a place of fear today, choose to turn your attention on the Great I Am who is with you, for you, and loves you. He has a perfect plan for your life and will never leave you or forsake you! There is such comfort in knowing that our God is for us and if He is for us, who can be against us (Romans 8:31)? He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
