The Cross Changes Everything
If Friday never happened, there would be no SONday.
The cross isn’t just something we wear around our neck—it is an instrument of death. Apart from a personal relationship with Jesus it would be equivalent to wearing an electric chair as a necklace.
The reason we celebrate Good Friday is because we recognize the great debt that Jesus paid for us—a debt that we could never repay. If Jesus had never willingly gone to the cross that Friday 2,000 years ago there would be no Easter! If Friday had never happened there could be no Sonday🙌🏼✝️.
This is why the Friday before Easter is so GOOD... in fact, it is better than good—it is GREAT!
FRIDAY CHANGED EVERYTHING!!!

Confidence
the feeling or belief that one can rely on someone or something; a firm trust
con·fi·dence—the feeling or belief that one can rely on someone or something; a firm trust.
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abedendigo were so confident in God that they were able to say in Daniel 3, “The God whom we serve IS ABLE to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and HE WILL deliver us from your hand, O king. BUT IF NOT, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up.”
I love the confidence that these three young men had in their God. They knew without a shadow of doubt that God WAS ABLE to deliver them from the fiery furnace—but even if He didn’t, they knew that God would be with them and protect them in the fire.
It may get hotter in the weeks and months to come— but we must not fear for God is for us and if He is for us who can be against us? (Romans8:31)
We may not be confident in our government, our economy or our financial stability— but we CAN be confident in our GREAT GOD who IS ABLE to deliver us from the fire. Let us learn from these three men that the world has nothing for us. Our hope rests in Christ alone and in His ability to either deliver us from or to be with us in the fire.
As with Daniel who did what was right and yet was thrown into the lions den, not to be destroyed, but to be delivered... why? So that God may be magnified and glorified!
God can and will shine so much brighter in the darkness if we allow Him!
Let us not grow weary while doing good for we will reap if we do not give up! (Galatians 6:9)❤️
Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. (Philippians 1:6)💕
The Lord Who Bursts Through
“The Lord has broken through my enemies before me.” 2 Samuel 5:20
“The Lord has broken through my enemies before me.” 2 Samuel 5:20
Have you ever felt like the Lord rescued you at just the right moment? He made a way where there was no way and provided exactly what was needed - a word of encouragement. a timely text, a phone call, providential provision or protection. These gestures, seemingly insignificant to others, act like a floodgate bursting open with blessings for us.
Only the Lord can break through in this way. We may try to defeat our enemies in the flesh but prayer makes all the difference in the world. When we can’t see what’s ahead, we should not proceed without the ‘go ahead’ from the Lord. Learn to wait on the Lord and He will burst forth like a raging flood - answering, leading, guiding, providing and protecting.
When the Lord leads, we proclaim glory to Him because God does what no one on earth can accomplish. Praise God!
