Are You Available?
You will never know how God might want to use you if you never step out in faith to see!
Have you ever felt outnumbered by the enemy? In a place or position you didn’t ask to be, but God allowed you to be there that He might show himself strong on your behalf? Jonathan, the son of King Saul, felt this way when one normal day, he dared to step out in faith, scaling a mountain to make himself available to be used by the Lord in an extraordinary way.
Any venture for the Lord takes faith, but certain ones where we feel alone and outnumbered may require a bit more. Jonathan was brave, his courage was contagious, and his curiosity-turned-faith was put to the test. What began as a normal day just checking things out ended up in a major battle with an extraordinary victory. Even though Jonathan and his armor bearer were outnumbered, they only needed God on their side to win the victory. Jonathan understood what many of us struggle with… God doesn’t need many people to win the battle, He only needs a few available brave souls with the faith the size of a mustard seed to make a difference. For God is able to save by many or by few (1 Sam. 14:6).
I wonder today if you are one of those brave souls? Is your courage contagious to others? Are you available whether anyone else goes with you or you go alone? God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above what we could even imagine. He only asks that we are available. You will never know how God might want to use your life if you never step out in faith to see! Make yourself available to God today and you might just be surprised how He will use you!

The God of Second Chances
He leaves the 99 to go after the one.
Our God is the God of second chances!
We cannot out love, out forgive, or out run God. His love is relentless. Even though we may reject Him, run from Him, or turn our back on Him, He will still give us opportunity after opportunity to receive His free gift of salvation.
This week in our Women’s Bible Study, we learned in Revelation 7 that an innumerable amount of people will be saved in the Tribulation. So many will trust Jesus as their Lord and Savior that they will not be able to be counted! This encourages me for those that I’ve been sharing Jesus with and praying for for years. In the end, we can trust that God loves our loved ones more than we do, and He WILL NOT relent in His pursuit! He leaves the 99 to go after the one. Will you trust Jesus today that He has heard your prayer, watered the seed that you have scattered, and He WILL bring the harvest sooner or later. Don’t stop praying, planting, or watering while there is still time to be busy about your Father's business!

A Devoted People
Jesus wants a church full of devoted people.
When we’re bent on destruction, and God allows us to be caught, do we see it as from the Lord? When we’re messing around with the things of the world – a little compromise here, a little compromise there – and then we experience some repercussions from it, some heartache, some pain, do you see it as the Lord trying to lovingly get your attention? God does not want a church full of compromising people; the world is full of that. He wants a church full of devoted people. Loyal people. People whose hearts are undivided, set on Him alone.

A Prayerful Posture
Prayer is the key to anxiety.
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you. Philippians 4:6-9
For all that is in the world – the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life – is not of the Father but is of the world. 1 John 2:16
Prayer is the key to anxiety. As you pray, you get your eyes off your situation and onto the only ONE who can bring true peace. Peace that is unexplainable. Peace in the midst of the storm. Peace that will protect your mind and your heart! There is power in prayer! Try it – it works!!!
