Balancing Rest and the Race
Finding the balance between running hard and resting well is not easy, but necessary.
It’s been busy but good these last few weeks!!! Running hard for Jesus is the only speed we know! However, being still is where we hear the voice of God. Finding the balance between running hard and resting well is not easy, but necessary. If we want to be able to serve Jesus 100%, we must have balance. Even Jesus took time away to rest, reflect, and recharge. If you, like me, have been running hard, can I encourage you to take a day to rest — and be sure that as you rest to spend time with the Lord. Only Jesus can supply all we need. For in our weakness, HE is made strong.

Exceedingly Abundantly Above
We are praising the Lord for all He has done and all that’s to come!
Still processing yesterday. Wow!!! I’m blown away by God’s goodness to us! 16 years ago the Lord brought us back to OC from Florida with one city on our heart and mind — San Clemente. In crazy ways the Lord confirmed that He called us to San Clemente… however, it took 15 years to build an army big enough to take the city for Himself. He has done exceedingly, abundantly above (more) than we could’ve imagined. We are praising Him for what’s to come as we continue to do what we know to do — Simply teach the Word simply!
And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved. Acts 2:47

Confidence in His Promises
If He begins something, He will not just finish it — He will perfect it.
Being confident in this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. Philippians 1:6
Sometimes we lack confidence in ourselves and even in our God. We may question things in our lives or in the lives of those we love. We may even become disappointed and discouraged while we wait. Paul knew this well as he wrote these words from a prison cell. However, in his darkest moments, he was able to see the light. He was able to see purpose in the pain and the perfecting. I wonder today if we can say the same? Are we confident (having full assurance, no uncertainty) that God has begun (started) a good (morally excellent, pleading, righteous) work (task, process, undertaking) in our lives? And that He will (promises) to complete (finish, make whole or perfect) it. We can trust with full assurance that Jesus is true to His word. If He begins something, He will not just finish it, but He will perfect it. Do you feel some perfecting going on? If so, hold Him to His promise. Don’t allow yourself to become discouraged. Be encouraged that He promised, He is faithful, and He will do it!

Choosing Faith Over Fear
There is nothing to fear but fear itself! In our weakness, He is strong.
The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? Psalm 27:1
There is nothing to fear but fear itself! When Jesus is the center of our life, we may be tempted to fear — but when we choose faith over fear, He supernaturally strengthens us. He makes us bold in the face of fear. He gives us strength when we are weak and grace in our time of need. He directs our steps; He lights the path for us to walk on. He makes His will obvious to us as we choose to walk out our faith, step by step. Choosing faith over fear isn’t the easiest; however, it is the best. Don’t worry if you don’t know what tomorrow has for you. You can know for certain that He is already there!

Getting Ready
NOW is the time to get to get serious about Jesus. He is coming soon!
Things in the world are really heating up! This week in Daniel 8 we talked about the countries that will come together in the battle described in Ezekiel 38-39. As we look at the visions given to Daniel in chapter 7 and 8 and that given to Nebuchadnezzar in chapter 2, we can’t help but see that things are being set in place for a war against Israel. The bear (Russia) in Daniel’s vision had 3 ribs in its mouth (countries that it devoured). As hopeful as we want to be with Ukraine, you can’t help but think… “are they a rib?” Also, Belarus? And another country? If you know your Bible, you see what’s happening. If you don’t, then get into the Word! NOW is the time to get right with the Lord! NOW is the time to get to church and get serious about Jesus. He is coming soon! We believe that the rapture of the church will occur before the war against Israel (Ezekiel 38-39). Nothing else has to happen before the rapture. Are you ready?

And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. Romans 13:11
